Green Gables Farmhouse is the main attraction, and the visitor center is also located here. The building, with its white walls and green tiles, was remodeled based on Montgomery's real-life background and the theme of the novel, which began in the 1930s and was officially opened to the public in 1937. The scene blends images from the best-selling 1908 novel “Anne of Green Gables “with the real-life experiences of local writers Lucy · Maud · Montgomery. Montgomery was inspired by this picturesque farm and its red forest trails to create this classic. There are many exhibits related to “Anne of Green Gables”, such as household items from Anne's time, letters and manuscripts of the author. Stepping inside is like walking through Anne's childhood, and if you read the novel before your visit, you'll have a deeper feeling and understanding for the scenes in the room.
The Green Gables Farm Museum is only open from May to October every year. During the opening period, there will be a different scenario experience program every day, including crafts, music, theater, games, etc. Around the farmhouse, trails and gardens are also set up, showcasing the natural environment described in the novel, allowing visitors to better immerse themselves in Anne's world.
